oua makes free browser-based tools. This page describes the information involved in running the site, making the tools work and supporting the site with advertising.
Information involved when you visit
Our hosting and security services, including Cloudflare, may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, approximate location based on IP address, and request times. This helps deliver the site, protect it from abuse and diagnose problems. Server and security logs may be retained by those providers according to their policies.
What happens inside the tools
Our QR Maker, SVG Builder and Minecraft Mapper are designed to perform their main tasks in your browser. The text, contact details, drawings and images you work with are generally processed locally rather than uploaded to an oua account. We do not require an account to use these tools.
If you use QR Maker to look up a website's icon, the website address you supply is sent to our server to retrieve publicly available site imagery. Requests to retrieve assets from that website may also involve that website's own servers. You can use your own image instead.
Cookies, browser storage and advertising
oua uses temporary browser storage, such as session storage, for interface details including transitions between pages. Our site also includes Google AdSense advertising technology, which may use cookies or similar identifiers when advertising features load.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on your visits to oua and other websites. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to measure and personalize ads where permitted. You can change cookie settings in your browser or clear stored data. Some advertising choices or features may depend on your location and applicable consent requirements.
Third-party services
We use Cloudflare to host and protect the site, Google for advertising technology, and third-party code-delivery services for certain tool features. These providers may process technical data needed to deliver their services under their own privacy policies.
Your choices and questions
You can choose not to use optional image lookups, adjust browser storage settings, and manage Google ad personalization as described above.
